Ek het nie heeltemal vergeet van die blog nie, dis net dat ek nie tyd kry om dit te update nie, en dat ek besig is om aan iets anders te werk op die oomblik (ook n blog tipe ding, maar dis nog alles baie geheim op die oomblik)

Sover is ek al een wat daarvan weet, maar om eerlik te wees, dit is besig om mooi aan te kom op die oomblik. Mens weet nooit, kan dit miskien net aan die wereld voorstel een van die dae.

Home or "home" ? !

I have been very "home sick" this last week or so - not that "home" is home any more, as London is my home.

I just miss the heat and lifestyle in South Africa, sitting outside, having a braai, going down to the beach, having an ice cold castle overlooking the mountains and see (in Hermanus) - little things like that. Sitting around with my family, talking kak, watching people, playing the fool .... need I say more. It is the same (in Jan) every year for me, all of a sudden I want to pack my bags and fly down south, to warmer weather. This getting dark at 4 pm, and only getting light at 8 am, not even to mention the constant cold. Staying indoors, because it is to cold to do anything else.

In spite of all of that, I still like it in the UK, and this is home, maybe I just need a good old fashioned holiday :-)

Hash (#) key on the Mac

This is for all Mac users in the UK, if you are having trouble finding the hash key on your Mac keyboard, I'll put you out of your misery, it isn't there. However, hash signs can be written in abundance by holding the Alt key down and then pressing the number 3.

Starwars like the EU

These last 2 days I have been watching all the Starwars movies, and after all these years they are still worth watching.

There is one thing that I have come to a conclusion about, and that is that the Federation is like the EU, a big bad monster that is fucking up everything in it's way. They had a scene where the Princes of Naboo speaks to the senate, and the 1st thing they want to do is to form a comity to discuss what is happening. The more I look at the EU, the more I think it is something that is going to fail big time at some point in the future, and going to pull the whole of Europe down with it.

The Federation (EU) is corrupt, not doing much, but still being propped up by the member states. Some states looks like they are more equal than others, and seem to be better off, as they are the ones on the winning side .... or just that little bit more corrupt than the rest.

But anyhow, let me continue with my Star Wars movies ...

New Year, New Blog

So here we are on the verge of a new year, 2011 (and one year closer to total annihilation if you believe all the doomsday prophets). All doom and gloom, with the Government fucking us over big time, country (and the EU) hanging on the brink of bankruptcy, and more cuts to follow this year. Dark (and interesting) days to follow.

It's been a while now that I have been thinking of doing something else with the blog, writing a bit more as to what I see happening to me in the UK, and just publishing short 5 min potgooie via audioboos
